The chip manufacturer unveiled the second-generation CPC [1] at IDF in Shanghi back in April. Although Intel defines the CPC spec, the firm leaves manufacture and final details to system suppliers that work with its production partner ECS.

According to a report [2] by Aving, Daewoo’s version of the child-friendly PC - dubbed as the Lukid - is powered by Intel’s 900MHz Celeron processor and runs on Windows XP. There’s a 512MB memory on-board and the hard-drive capacity is 30GB.

The PC also sports an SD memory card slot and includes a USB port. The machine’s LCD display measures 9in and has an 800 x 480 resolution.

The Daewoo Lukid will be available in Korea for KRW 549,000 (£270/€340/$530), although a release date hasn’t been set. It’s not known if the PC will be released into Europe.
